I read about eCSStender in a blog post today and now understand how it
differs from Modernizer. eCSStender extends the CSS support of old
browsers, allow you, for example, to use CSS3 selecters with IE6.
Modernizer, on the other hand, allows you to declare alternate styles
(and markup?) for old browsers that don't support the latest
technology. That may be a bit of an oversimplification, but I think
that's the gist.
