Hey all,
I just wanted to suggest an idea that I had recently, feel free to
reply with anything you like or dislike, and hopefully we can come to
a consensus.

Since, it is the end of the year, I think it would be nice to have
some sort of roundup of what we have accomplished in a year. I
suggest that each member present a case study, peer review, or any
kind of presentation that includes at least one piece of their own
work.

New members (I believe we will have at least one) can do a simple
"presentation" about who they are, what they do, and their interest in
the group, rather than a more formal presentation involving their
work.

I like this because its a nice way to close a year of discussing
techniques, opinions, and theories, by showing how we have
incorporated what we have learned (through the group, or elsewhere)
into our work. Its also a nice lead-in to the, less formal, all open
discussion, meeting in October.

Ideally, this could become a bigger event for us, maybe someday almost
being like a BarCamp style "conference", possibly lasting all day, or
maybe over a weekend.

What are your guys thoughts?

I like this and will plan a case study accordingly.

Anybody else have an opinion on the matter?

I was confused for a little there, but Cressman clarified things for me.  That sounds like a good idea.
