Job Description:
This position is part of the web services team in the Public Affairs
department. Tasks include: manage design, layout, coding and technical
maintenance of Dallas Fed external web site; work with content
administrator and IT staff to develop, test and maintain internal and
external web sites; suggest, research and implement new ideas and
technologies for use in the Bank's Intranet and public website.

Duties also include web design, development, maintenance, graphic
design, user interface design, application programming, database
development and administration. Some projects may require technical
writing for web user manuals. On occasion, this position provides
design services for Internet and intranet sites for other departments
and business areas in the Bank and around the Federal Reserve System.

This position is also part of the graphics team that visualizes,
conceptualizes and creates design ideas to produce graphic artwork for
both print and electronic media for use in the Eleventh Federal
Reserve District. Projects include publications, brochures,
illustrations, posters, charts and graphs, and other print products as
well as Internet and intranet site design and development.
Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge and understanding of both Macintosh and PC environments and
software including Dreamweaver, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator.

Strong XHTML, DHTML, ColdFusion, Javascript, etc. and practical web
design including navigational forethought.

Web design: usability, user interface design; knowledge of internet,
server, browser, accessibility, security

Knowledge of graphic design to independently conceptualize and produce
a broad range and level of artwork, while maintaining quality control
over all phases of production.

Excellent communication skills, organized, flexible, and able to work
in a team environment with minimum supervision.

Knowledge of electronic video, audio and multimedia production and
design a plus.

Consider customer and audience requirements, computer/ software
resources, vendors, and print shop capabilities (for print) in
designing for maximum productivity and minimum costs.

Maintain timely, accurate records of time and materials to complete
web- and print-based graphics projects.

Promote teamwork, productivity and customer service excellence.
Leadership commitment is to champion continuous improvement in self
and the organization and be calendar and priority driven.

Plan and organize work to meet schedules and cost constraints.

Education/Experience:
Degree in web design and graphic arts or related field is preferred.

Minimum 5 years' experience in all phases of visual communications,
with concentration in electronic and print media. Education and
experience may substitute.

Strong background in graphics and web design and development, program
languages, electronic multimedia production.

Certificate or equivalent experience in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator,
Acrobat, Quark Xpress, In Design, Macromedia Dreamweaver, ColdFusion,
Contribute, Microsoft Office Suite, MySQL, Macromedia Flash,
Javascript, HTML, and other Desktop Publishing programs.

Working Hours:
Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Occasional overtime as required.
