Job Title: Web Content Manager

Seeking a Web Content Manager for a new consumer web site.

Position Details:

• Freelance position for fast moving project lasting approximately 3 months; potential for permanent position after initial phase.
• Office located on north side of Indianapolis. 
• Must provide past work samples/website links to show experience.
• Pay will be commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the successful identification and fulfillment of all web-related content requirements.
• Make recommendations and strategies for content creation, delivery, and governance, based on business and user needs.
• Communicate how proposed recommendations will have impact on the organization and users.
• Create, organize, deliver and monitor effectiveness of all web content.
• Define and manage content standards and processes.
• Repurpose existing content and create new content in a variety of web-friendly formats.
• Willingness to research viable content sources. 
• Write content that’s useful, usable, conversational, engaging, persuasive, clear, and focused on the user. 
• Create original content and manage user-generated content to maximize SEO and conversion.

Skill Sets Required:

• Have an understanding of user experience design and information hierarchy, metadata and nomenclature.
• Responsible, creative, self-starter who can work well under minimal supervision.
• Experience with secondary education, student loans, and/or financial information web writing ideal
• Experience writing to an adult audience 25-45 preferred.
• Ability to take direction, work with internal departments and outside consultants and be a team player.
