Phones and card scanner help

I have a client who wants to upgrade from cell phone to IPhone or contender. Anyone done any comparison of the leader and wannabe's? Pro and con? Had direct experience - we use IPhone.

Also, he is looking to purchase a card scanner for business cards. We use Macs and he is PC. Not familiar with options here.

Jan,

If they are looking to use the card scanner to get the information from the business card into their address book, then an option is the iPhone app, CardSnap. I've seen it in action and it appears to work well, still struggling with an issue on the iTunes store, otherwise I'd have installed it already.
