Also I'll be going solo at my first SXSW, so if anyone from Refresh
wants to meetup during the conference to exchange notes/thoughts/ironic
stickers, I'm game.
Finally, a reminder that we're looking for a junior PHP/MySQL developer
to whom we would like to give money on a regular basis:

Nice meeting you all!

As I mentioned in the meeting to those who were there, anyone who shows
up at SxSW should feel free to tap me on the shoulder to say hi and is
more than welcome to join me for lunch. The more the merrier!
Considering how many of tonight's attendees are going, it might not hurt
to have a central spot where folks can gather if they want to join other
Austin refreshers for lunch, or before one of the parties.
Thoughts?

Come to BBWB

Saturday, after the panels, before the frog party, there are a few
other shindigs. The Austin Rails group is having a meetup, the
HandShake Happy Hour (Handwire + Milkshake Media), and there is the
BlueFlavor/Bryght/DigitalWeb meetup somewhere.

Great to meet all of you last night and looking forward to
commiserating with other members as well. Like I was saying last night
- really good to know that there is a group where we can
vent/share/learn/meet, etc.
I'm also a SXSW newbie - so if there is some organizing/meeting
happening going on - count me in.
Not to be a copycat - but we're hiring too - and could use some help
finding a great designer:
The winning candidate will be an expert in the following:
* Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
* Dreamweaver
* Flash
* XHTML & CSS
The winning candidate will be engaged in the following types of
projects:
* Creation of Web site layouts from concept to completion. Includes
visual design and coding.
* Creation of electronic advertisements and email templates.
* Creation of logos, stationary and print advertisements.
To apply for this position, you must have:
* 3+ years graphic/interactive design experience.
* A college degree or equivalent work experience.
* Experience working directly with clients in an agency atmosphere.
* An online portfolio.
This new member will act as the lead graphic designer for our team, but
will also be involved on a limited basis in the coding and creation of
complete Web sites. TradeMark Media is a small agency, but we are
involved in many different projects at once. This new member must be
able to handle a structured, fast-paced agency atmosphere that can be
demanding and stressful at times.
If you meet all of the requirements above and want to take the next
step in your career, please email a cover letter, a resume, salary
requirements and link to your online portfolio.
Contact jo...@trademarkmedia.com.
Thanks all and see you at SXSW.

Looks like the party has grown. Still working out the details; will
post them when I know more. List-owner. The "secondary sponsor" means
no obligation. The Refresh group name on a flier and email, without
having to pitch in any more than spreading the word. Does that work
for you?
Primary Sponsors (monetary sponsors) in alpha order:
- Blue Flavor
- Bryght
- Newsvine
- Rain City Studios
Secondary Sponsors (attendee sponsors):
- Austin Web Standards Meetup
- CSS-Discuss mailing list
- Refresh Austin?
- Web Standards Project (WASP)
- WD-L list?
- AIGA?

For those going to SXSW and still needing to plan what you're going to
see, here's a Greasemonkey script to add links to the SXSW Interactive
Panels page so you can add events to your calendar without having to
view the panel details:
http://www.iamjp.com/blog/greasemonkey-for-sxswi-panels
It makes it a lot easier :)
