Funded CEO seeks Senior Developer to design and build Ruby-on-rails components for late-stage-prototype web-app from existing bug-and-features tickets. Must have proven experience in moving software from MVP to shipping product.  Short-term contract position as the sole developer on the project – lasting approx. 3 months.    

 

StorytellingMachines.com is a start-up web-app that provides an expressive solution for anyone who wants to make awesome movies.  It delivers an easy and intuitive way to make videos for your business, yourself, employees, or a product.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

·       Write code in Ruby On Rails, HTML/CSS, and jQuery/ Javascript & MySQL

·       Fast-paced project and collaboratively work with CEO incorporating feedback and features

·       Design, implement, and maintain Ruby On Rails based components

·       Rapidly solve problems and bugs

·       Proactively look for ways to make the product better

 

Requirements and Qualifications

·       BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience

·       Provide proven portfolio of public sites, code samples in Ruby, jQuery/ Javasacript

·       Experience with Ruby on Rails & MySQL in a consumer facing web environment

·       Experience with object oriented analysis/design – experience in XHTML, Javascript, CSS and general Web 2.0 techniques

·       Knowledge of Responsive Web Design

·       Experience in SEO / SEM: Standards Compliant, Cross-browser Compatible, Google Analytics, Google Adwords / Adsense

·       Experience and knowledge with Photoshop, Illustrator, SVN / Git
