Principal Visual Designer

About the role:

RetailMeNot is establishing itself as the place to get deals on stuff you actually want. The RetailMeNot app has over 3 million downloads and currently carries an average rating of over 4.5 stars.

We’re creating a suite of connected, cross-platform, multi-context experiences that are simple, fun and friendly. Our aim is to make every encounter with our brand and products while shopping familiar, fast, and enjoyable. We’re looking for Experience Designers to join our growing team of passionate UX professionals.

What are you responsible for?

•     Translating brand and company principles into a visual system
•     Designing signature visual and interactive patterns across devices and contexts
•     Evoking appropriate emotional responses and behaviors in our products, marketing, and partner communications

•     Passion for recognizing emerging apps and patterns and synthesizing the mechanics into new design concepts

Requirements:

• System-level mobile and web product design experienc
• 7+ years of professional visual design experience with internet product
• Mobile experience highly preferred
• Experience leading design workshops and influencing product, marketing, and engineering partners
• Strong technical skills in User Experience, Interaction Design, and/or Visual Design
• Fluent wiht HTML5, CSS, JavaScript
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
