Gig: Setting up friendly URLs in a LAMP environment

Hey,

I'm just about finished with initial development of a travel affiliate
site for a client. One of the specs going forward is to set up a
friendly URL system based on the recommendations of an SEO firm the
client has hired. (They don't implement, just advise)

I don't have any experience setting those up from scratch so I'd love
to work with someone on the list who has done this a few times in the
past and thinks they can step in to get it going.

A couple details about the site
* PHP on shared Linux (apache) hosting
* combination of database and SOAP API calls that we're pulling data
from
* lots of flexibility as far as how we implement this, so we can
discuss pros and cons up front

And details about the work -
* They'd like to get started this week, so really looking for someone
available immediately for a few days or however long it takes
* You'd be working with me (Austin), the client (New York) who's a
great guy to work with, and possibly a conference call with the SEO
firm (in Australia). I can meet you somewhere, you're welcome to work
here in my home office, or on your own, wherever you're most
comfortable and effective.
* possibly some continuing work and tweaks in the future

And, the handy tip as a consolation for reading this far. I was sent a
link to Yahoo's Developer Network (http://developer.yahoo.com) a
couple days ago. I hadn't checked it out in quite a while and was
surprised by the amount of information they have there now. Of course
there's the Yahoo properties related stuff, but also a lot of solid
examples and code samples for subjects it's tough to find good, up to
date information on. If you haven't been by recently, it's worth the
10 minutes.
