Add imagemagick 'auto-orient' option to Dragonfly convert option

I would like to add the "-auto-orient" option to the Dragonfly convert statement, like shown here: https://mensfeld.pl/2015/07/ruby-dragonfly-gem-auto-orient-all-the-images/

How do I do that?

I tried adding an initializer. When I also add

Dragonfly.logger = Rails.logger

then I can see that my auto-orient option is not working. I suspect this is due to the RefineryCMS Image configuration:

app_images = ::Dragonfly.app(:refinery_images)

Any suggestions ?
