Maybe, does nvcpl.dll exist (I think it will be in C:\Winsows\System\) and contain NvCplGetThermalSettings()? If so then I suspect I could adjust my SIV utility to report both the temperatures.

Clearly Fan 2 is the CPU fan and I expect SIV reported Fan 1. Basically I need to adjust SIV to report Fan 2 as the CPU Fan. Please do Menu->File->Save Local and post to two generated files so I can adjust this and test the change. Please also post a screen shot of what the BIOS monitoring screen reports.

The CPU Core voltage is what the W83697HF reports and I suspect this is correct, but would need to check the save file to figure out why SIV defaulted to showing it in red. What does Menu->Tools->Configure->Highlight Setup report for the VIN voltages? If you change these and press [Apply] or [Save] the colour should change.

Given the GPU-0 P12 SIV must be using NVAPI rather than NVCPL. If you do SIV32X -NONVAPI then SIV should use NVCPL to try and get the temperature, does it succeed? If so I will adjust SIV in light of this.

It should also fix the CPU Fan reporting, but I can't guess as to why SIV32X -NONVAPI still used NVAPI. I tried it on this system and NVAPI was not used. What does [About] report as the Command Used?

The root cause of the FX 5963 is SIV needing to change such as 7001 USB OHCI Host Controller to 963 USB OHCI Host Controller as SiS use the same PCI Device ID for different chipsets, press [PCI Bus] then [PCI Info] to see the Stock Device Description to Resolved Device Description mappings.

I have recently upgraded my old GTX560Ti cards (SLi) to a single ASUS RTX2070 Super card. I am currently using Windows 7 Pro on 64-bit. Since I upgraded the Geforce drivers to handle the newer card, I have lost all access to the NVidia control panel. It does not appear on the right-click context menu from the desktop and attempting to open it from the main control panel fails with an error of:

I have already used DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to completely remove the old driver version (391.35) and reinstalled the ASUS driver from their website (436.30) using a full install & preference reset. This has failed to make any difference to the control panel and it can still not be opened.

I used DDU a second time to completely remove that driver and then installed the latest driver version direct from NVidia (441.66) using the forced new install settings. This too has failed to allow access to the control panel. The control panel version in the error has not changed between the two new driver installations and each time I have used DDU and installed the driver I have performed a reboot.

I need to be able to access the NVidia control panel as the default Windows control panel doesn't allow my 3 screens to operate as a single canvass with 5760x1200 resolution; it uses each screen as an independent screen of 1920x1200 resolution. The NVidia control panel provides the correct options to set up the desktop as though it is a single screen.

There is no ability to download it separately to the driver. I have looked at a couple of options I found through Google suggesting to restart the "NVidia NetworkService Container" service but this does not exist on my system. I only have the "Nvidia Display Container LS" service which I have restarted a few times with no change in behaviour. There is no updated BIOS available from the ASUS website.

From what I've seen when I was searching for a solution, others have had the same problem with the NVidia control panel on Windows 10, even after downloading the control panel from the Microsoft shop.

The control panel was working correctly on Windows 7 right up until the time I changed cards. Given the number of search results with others using Windows 10 and having the same problem, this is not an assured answer.

Windows update is giving me no results on any updates. My registry indicates that I'm on .NET Framework release 528049 which, according to Google, is the latest version on all Windows versions except Windows 10 on the 10 May 2019 and 10 November 2019 updates which use release 528040.
