Hi everyone,

Here’s my business plan.  Sometimes it helps to see someone else’s plan.  And if I’m off base, Wayne can use me as an example of what not to do.

Since this is a new business for me, I don’t know my close rate, so some of this year will be flying blind.  However, I can still answer the question Wayne is asking:  “ How much do I want to make from RNE?” or more accurately “How many closed referrals do I want?”

OK I start with how much I want to make in 2011.  $XX,XXX.

I have essentially 2 products: Forensics work and PI work.

From my research I believe my average ticket for Forensics will be $FFFF and for PI $PPP

I actually don’t mind ya’ll knowing my number, but for the sake of those not comfortable showing their own values, I’ve hidden my values.

Playing with the percent of work I want to from each category, I’ve set goals of bringing in

$YY,YYY of Forensics       /              $FFFF    =   16 transactions

$Z,ZZZ of PI                         /              $PPP      =   10 transactions

I plan to market 20 hours a week.  Spending 4 hours a week on RNE, I hope to bring in 20% of my income.

That means I’m looking for 3-4 closed forensics referrals and 2 closed PI referrals.

Just one corporate lawyer could fill my forensics RNE goal for the whole year.

Wayne did a great job of explaining this.  Hope my example helps.

Jeff

Hi everyone,

Sorry I could not make it this morning, but here is my homework

My business plan.

The question Wayne is asking:  “ How much do I want to make from RNE?” or more accurately “How many closed referrals do I want?”

OK I start with how much I want to make in 2011.  $XX,XXX.

Playing with the percent of work I want to from each category, I’ve set goals of bringing in

$WW,WWW of non emergency jobs (duct cleaning, carpet cleaning, etc.)= approx 20 jobs

$XXX,XXX of Water Jos = approx. 40 jobs

$YYY,YYY of Fire Jobs   =  approx. 10 jobs

$ZZZ,ZZZ of Mold Jobs  =  approx 10 jobs

I plan to market 40 hours a week.  Spending 4-6 hours a week on RNE, I hope to bring in 20% of my income.

That means I’m looking for approx. 10-30 closed referrals from RNE.
