Texila American University Doctor of Medicine Students had participated in the community based activities in Lusignan Health center, Guyana.

It was the first-hand learning exposure to vaccinations in their medical schooling to enhance education and preparation for the future.  It was one of the great ways of learning the “meet of medical practice and skills” and would be the lifelong learning achievements in this university.

Online Learning Using the “Flipped Classroom” Model Can Reshape Education& Learning Experience !

 

Blended learning, where students’ face-to-face education is blended with Internet resources or online courses, has been gaining considerable attention in education reform circles.Incorporating blended learning in higher education leads to an increase in graduation rates among other positive benefits.

Engaging today’s students with yesterday’s methods creates tension among many learner populations, where many traditional approaches to learning prove unappealing. No doubt new innovations will help prepare tomorrow’s students for the complex and promising futures that await them.

Work Integrated Blended Learning helps the students to personalize education, cut costs and allows them to be more productive.

One of the blended learning examples that have received perhaps the greatest attention is the “flipped classroom.” As the name indicates, it converts classroom instruction during the day to online video of lectures so that students watch at home at their own pace, perhaps communicating with co-students and teachers via online chats and discussions (Forums)so as to bring the traditional classroom effects.

Texila Delivers courses in some schools using the flipped classroom model. We have a Robust learning management system which provides synchronous learning experience to the students located in all possible parts of the world. Students from over 70 Nationalities are enrolled in our Flipped, blended learning programs at various levels. Over 40 programs at the level of Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral are being offered. More exciting times ahead for Texila with its expansions into Africa and South Asia.
