to Reef Angel Controller
Hi everyone,

I plan on getting the Reef Angel as soon as it becomes available again
and was wondering if there were any softwares I could already install
just to be as ready as possible when I eventually get it. I see there
has been a lot of development from different contributors and I'd like
to know which one should be installed and if there are any specific
steps to follow (any order etc..).

Is it possible to play around with the tools and code without having
the actual unit ? I'm eager to learn and a bit worried about the
complexity.

Thanks,

Math

All very good questions.

There is a forum that is in its infancy that you can start reading
though: http://forum.reefangel.com/

Also on reefangel.com under the Downloads section is the software that
is used to upload the program to the controller.

On the forum, there is an Apps section where additional apps are
located: http://forum.reefangel.com/viewforum.php?f=8

The Client Suite and ReefAngel Generator are referenced there with
information about them. I would suggest reading through the forum and
reefangel.com (and the community pages on reefangel.com) to get a
better idea of how things work and what the software will look like.

I will say that some stuff you won't be able to use without the
controller (you won't have all the fancy graphs and realtime updates
inside the Client Suite without the controller). You will be able to
play around with RAGen (ReefAngel Generator) to get a feel for
creating your controller software.

If you have questions, either send an email to this mailing list or
post on the forum.
