Redundans takes too much time and not using the available threads

I tried to run redundans which is running for almost 4 days. Is this is normal? When I add options like -t=8 and -m = 32, the pipe was slow running for 3 days. and now it ended up with an error. Broken Pipe. Kindly guide me... Thank you,
