One way to reduce costs is to reduce hay waste or loss. Hay is lost
during harvest, storage and feeding.

Round bale feeders reduce hay waste as much as 14.6% according to a
University of North Dakota Study; the amount of reduction will vary by
type.

Round bale feeders can also help maintain the quality of hay during
feeding by protecting it from trampling, which can in turn influence
cow performance.
