How to register Netflix & Max

Before you can enjoy your new perk, you'll need to register it.

Don't worry, it only takes a moment.

To get started, look for an action notification.

Perks that require setup will be displayed on your Mobile or Verizon Home Internet account dashboard.

Just tap Setup to begin.

To register your new Netflix and Max subscriptions, you must create an account or use an existing one for each.

Set up Netflix by tapping Register.

Enter the email address you'd like to use for your Netflix subscription.

If you have an existing account billed directly with Netflix, you can use the email associated with it. You'll keep your existing Netflix profiles.

Follow along with the steps to register your Netflix Standard with ads plan or choose to keep an existing plan.

If you choose to upgrade your plan, you'll only pay the difference between the retail price of Netflix Standard with Ads and that of Netflix Standard or Premium.

Once complete, your Netflix account is connected to Verizon.

To set up Max, tap Register.

Enter the required information to create your Max account.

Max will check to see if you have an existing account that may already be in use with your email address.

Follow along with the prompts to verify your email.

Once complete, your Max account is connected to Verizon.

Now you're ready to start streaming with Netflix & Max.

If you change your subscription from the Netflix Standard with Ads plan that comes with your $10/mo Netflix & Max (With Ads) perk to any other Netflix plan, you will be charged for the difference between Netflix Standard with Ads and the then-current retail price for your selected Netflix plan and billed by Verizon for that difference on your Verizon bill. This is billed in addition to the $10/mo for Netflix & Max (With Ads).
Registration steps shown for those customers billed directly from Max. Enrolling in the Netflix & Max (With Ads) perk may affect existing subscriptions to Max billed by third parties. Managing subscriptions may be required to avoid multiple subscriptions and corresponding charges.

WANT TO REVERT TO THE OLD NETFLIX HERES HOW- if your like me (and pretty much everyone ive talked to you hate teh new netflix interface. why they literally screwed up everthing about it i dont know. but the good news is the old netflix app is still on your xbox and you can still use it.

STEP 1 hit the xbox button and goto the gams tab and select quickplay,then goto the al tab on the right and scroll down till you find the old netflix app (it should be a little white flim strip in th emiddle not the shiny red on at the top) select this now. you should get an error message but jsut click ok

STEP 2 now you should be at a netflix screen that tells you theres and error and you need to register netflix on this console and it should have the register code in the background covered by the error message.leave it on this screen and then

STEP 3 go online to your netflix account and click on the YOUR ACCOUNT & HELP link at the top rigth. it will bring you to the accpunt page scroll down a little bit and under the WATCHING INSTANTLY ON YOUR TV OR COMPUTER section click the MANAGE NETFLIX READY DEVICES AND COMPUTERS LINK. then click the disconnect device button and confirm

STEP 4 finally got back to your xbox (which should be on the netflix screen with the error message and the option to TRY AGAIN click this now and it shoudl remove the error mesage and show you the registration code enter this now on your computer and presto the Old (and much better) netflixs app.

you can use either app now without having to do all that stuff again but you can only access the old netflix app through the quickplay option. if you click on the netflix icon it will brign you to the new (and annoying) one. its so sad that we have to do this they shoudl simlpy give us the option of which we want to use but they would rather force the new on on us anyways ENJOY GUYS and thumbs up if you found this usefull

Regardless, absolute credit to Fleshpuppet for this info. I'm creating the thread that way people who don't like the new Netflix have an idea how to get their beloved previous version back. Unfortunately, no fix for the new Dashboard...probably won't be =/

However, if you were already on the old Netflix you can stay on it for as long as you wish to keep your Xbox console running...so at least you can get a few final moments with the old setup before wishing it farewell (unless you're one of the lucky few it doesn't corrupt for).

OH wll not 10 hours after i posted this they disabled it. WHY i ask you, do they care if i want to use their old interface. it wasnt hurting anythgin by allowing me to use the older (and far greater) program espically since its on my xbox still just sitting there on my harddrive. this is like cyber facisim. i dont like the new version and im not just shouting whiney non sese complaints but i had VALID reasons and it jsut a dick thign to do. so even though ive been and XBOX LIVE subscriber since the original xbox and even though i jsut puurchased an xbox kinect bundle for christmas. i will be returning it and canceling my subscription. turning off my auto renew and gettign a netflix box from netflix.com. i know they dont care and that to them it doesnt matter but i was a diehard xbox fanboy and now i hate the service. PLEASE i urge yo uto call 18004myxbox and let them know your displeasure and perhaps they will fix at least this but i doubt it.

These devices usually do not support our secure wireless connection, instead they must connect to FIU_WiFi. You must register these devices at account.fiu.edu before you can connect them to the internet.

FIU is also participating in the eduroam (education roaming) initiative. If you are a student of a participating university, you may log into the eduroam SSID using the username and password from your home university (eg. ro...@miami.edu)

In order to get access to FIU_SECUREWiFi you will need to login with your MyAccounts username/password. If you do not know your MyAccounts credentials, select the FIU_WiFi wireless network and visit myaccounts.fiu.edu on your browser.

If you are a returning student who previously registered a streaming or gaming device on the UWSPDEVICE wireless network you must change the UWSPDEVICE password used by your devices.

Manual Registration is required to connect a device or game console (Xbox, Apple TV, PS4, Switch, etc) that does not have a built-in web browser and is not capable of connecting to the eduroam secure wireless network.

If your device has more than one network adapter, use the one that is best suited for your setup. In the residential facilities a wireless connection is preferred. (You may also register both a wired and wireless adapter, but you may only register up to 5 addresses including phones, tablets and laptops.)
