Friends,

I cannot believe we are 24 hours away from Catalyst: our regional Black student conference. It brings a smile to my face to even reflect on the transformation of our region in diversity among staff and students in the last decade. That continued transformation will continue tomorrow.

Over 70 students as well as 10 staff, pastors and volunteers from around Texas and Arkansas will gather at the Hyatt Place Hotel in Grapevine, Texas to hear commune with God. Some of these students will make commitments to follow Jesus for the first time. Some will renounce deep sin patterns and some will choose to become leaders in their student bible studies and help plant InterVarsity Chapters.

As Christians, we know the world in which we live in is not only physical, but spiritual. Would you join me in praying for the following items:

- Pray for safe travel for students and staff as they drive from Houston, Austin, Dallas &Norman, Oklahoma.
- Pray for our speaker, James Chambers. Pray that God would speak through him, protection for his family, that he would arrive in Dallas & return to Chicago safely
- Pray students would make decisions to accept Jesus for the first time - I am praying for at least 5
- Pray for students to make recommitments to Jesus, that they would confess and repent from old sin patterns
- Pray for new students from Texas Southern University, Texas A&M Commerce and University of Texas-Arlington would hear God's heart to plant new chapters on their campuses

Finally, I must say thank you to each and every one of you. It was your continued prayers and support that have brought us to this moment. We are standing on your prayers and faith in Jesus here in Dallas.

I look forward to giving a "fruitful and spirit-filled" summary of what God does in the lives of our students these next 48 hours. In case you missed it, here is a link to my latest ministry update: Red River Regional BCM Update

To God alone be the glory for what He HAS done, IS doing & WILL DO!
