I'd like, if I may, to draw your attention to the third edition of this annual cultural long weekend event, which I curate for and with the wonderful Aldeburgh Music, in the equally remarkable Suffolk countryside.
This year is themed around home and migration, with the centenary of Benjamin Britten our anchor and prompt to roam.
We have two world premieres - a new installation / performance by the outstanding sound artist Chris Watson - and a live scoring by Mercury Prize winner Talvin Singh of Ben Rivers' great feature film Two Years at Sea.
There are new and exclusive presentations by multi-award winning writers Geoff Dyer, Marina Warner, Patrick Wright, Ali Smith, Blake Morrison, Ruth Padel, Ken Worpole and others.
Add in winter walks, film screenings and sound / art works around the site and it makes for a rewarding weekend of discovery (I hope!).
There are specially priced weekend tickets available - and all information is also found here -
hoping some of you might be able to join us in this beautiful part of the country soon.
many thanks for your attention
warm winter wishes
Gareth
