Ways of Listening
Fri 7 Sep 2012, 18.30 - 20.00
The eminent writer, critic, and thinker John Berger donated his archive to the British Library in 2009. This year marks the 40th Anniversary of two of Berger’s major works: the novel G., winner of the Booker Prize, and the collaborative, BAFTA-winning BBC TV series and book Ways of Seeing. In celebration, Colin McCabe and Tilda Swinton will present Ways of Listening, a new film of conversations with John Berger.

Programme
European Literature
Night IV
"The British Library's rich collections give us the opportunity to work on a wide range of items early in our careers - you just don't get that elsewhere, " interns Francesca Lemass (pictured above) and Anna Johnson
Supported by the Garfield Weston Foundation and the Headley Trust, the conservation training programme offers two newly-qualified conservators the chance to undertake a year-long internship in the Library's world-class Conservation Centre, developing their skills and greatly enhancing their career prospects. We are delighted that one of our current interns, Anna Johnson, has already been offered a job at Cambridge University Library starting in the autumn.
