when a target (binfmts) needs to use `sudo` the prompt for password is overwritten by redo's status line.
interestingly the prompt appears in WSL but not the redo status line - I assume due to the many quirks in WSL.
Even though the prompt is hidden I can still enter the password - but of course this is not ideal behaviour.
