If you've ever spoken to me about the School of Authentic Journalism, you know how important it is to me and to hundreds of other people. I love talking about it.
Each year we bring together experienced media makers and successful social movement leaders from around the globe. They train dozens of journalists how to tell compelling stories about organized communities working hard to change the world. It is also the laboratory where we create the satirical films that I’ve produced alongside Mexican social movements since 2003. I have been sharing these films with many of you for years.
There is no other school like it on the planet. We charge no tuition, and we never will. But we need you to make it happen.
We are fighting to keep the school alive. With your support, we can make the school happen again in 2016, but we have only two weeks to make our goal.
Please watch and listen to the words of some of our Professors and Scholars, including Johanna Lawrenson, who along with her late husband Abbie Hoffman provided much of the inspiration to make this school happen. You can see the video on our Kickstarter page.
You might also be please to know that the school and I are also about to release a new Web TV adventure/comedy/talk show featuring my character Joe. T. Hodo from the video "Frack U. Mexico." Joe will be touring Mexico speaking to movement leaders, artists and politicians, not realizing that the joke is always on him. Anyone who gives at least ten dollars to the campaign will be able to see a sneak preview of the series next week.

Si en algún momento te he hablado acerca de la Escuela de Periodismo Autentico, sabes que tan importante es para mi y para cientos de personas más. Me encanta hablar sobre ella.
Cada año juntamos productores de medios experimentados y veteranos de movimientos sociales exitosos para capacitar a decenas de periodistas en como contar historias conmovedoras sobre comunidades organizadas trabajando duro para cambiar el mundo. También es laboratorio donde creamos los cortometrajes satíricos que produzco en colaboración con movimientos sociales mexicanos desde 2003. Desde hace años he compartido estos cortometrajes con ustedes y el mundo.
No hay otra escuela parecida en el mundo. No cobramos nada por asistir a la escuela, y nunca lo haremos. Pero necesitamos tu ayuda para que siga siendo así.
Estamos luchando para mantener la escuela viva. Con tu apoyo, podemos llevar a cabo la escuela en el 2016, pero solamente tenemos dos semanas para lograr nuestra meta.

Quizás te agrade también saber que la escuela y yo estamos a punto de estrenar una nueva serie en internet, de entrevistas de humor ambientado protagonizado por mi personaje Joe T. Hodo del video “Frack U. México.” Joe viajará por la república mexicana hablando con lideres de movimientos, artistas, y políticos, sin darse cuenta que el hazmereir es el. Todos quienes donan por lo menos diez dólares a la campaña podrá ver una vista previa algún día de la semana durante la semana que viene.
