Ideally, we would like churches to host The Bible Series for all ages. We have designed resources for all generations, so your whole church can enjoy the series together. If the youth group uses the resources on its own, this will affect the opportunity for the church as a whole to embrace The Bible Series in the future.

Produced by the company Lux Vide, these 17 films each cover an important Bible character. Many of these episodes had well-known actors or crew working on them, so they feel like very well-made TV movies. At the same time, some of them were long enough to be released over several episodes (the Joseph movie takes two 90-minute episodes). So, this series feels like a TV show or collection of several TV miniseries.

I was moved in so many ways by the message and personal story behind the anticipated new series. The series is especially important for young Christians who have grown up with films like "the Ten Commandments" but have yet to have a series they can call their own. This isn't an over dramatized documentary like we're used to. Instead, we're given a beautifully done television drama which captures the mystery, love and journey of Genesis through Revelation.Appropriately, the piece was a product of the love between Mark and Roma who are such an amazing testament to marriage and collaboration. They spoke about how their love and faith journey brought them to make this series. It was simply incredible to watch them share their talents as a couple to glorify God.You must tune into this series on the history channel premiering on March 3rd, which will run through the Bible beggining to end. Visit there website HERE and learn more about the piece, and view some of the breathtaking clips. Finally, we have a series that lives up to the greatest story ever told.

We all know what a script should look like but what about your tv series pitch bible? There is a lot of confusion around the myriad of supporting materials you might also be expected to write. Treatments, pitches, outlines and show bibles are terms bandied around which can be used to mean different things.

If your show is a serialised story (one story arching over the whole series or more, eg Breaking Bad) these episode synopses must show how the story progresses through the series, with clear turning points and episode hooks.

If your show is episodic (each episode has a self-contained story, eg NCIS), these synopses should give a flavour of the kind of stories that would work for your series as well as indicate any major turning points for your regular characters if you envisage series arcs for them.

The newer online studies in this series allow an "immersion approach," trying to simulate the always-with-him approach that Jesus used with his disciples -- a weekly lesson every Saturday, followed by individual questions on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. You can respond to these questions in the online Forum as well as read the response of other JesusWalkers who are studying the same lesson. For those who would rather study at their own pace or are leading small groups and study school classes, many of these have been adapted to book format.

Older studies in the series don't yet include the weekly lessons and daily questions, but the explanation and questions are there to stimulate your study. We invite you to join thousands upon thousands of JesusWalkers who have studied these lessons in nearly 120 countries around the world.

The Lectio study series is designed for adult faith formation, to help unveil both Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition. The Latin word lectio means reading, and often refers to a careful and prayerful reading of Scripture. View our Program to see for your self.
