error squid & rpc bind

Hi All

Problem -1:

I am using Squid Proxy with Dansguardian  on RHEL 5.4 . Internet speed via squid configuration is too slow. Is there any way to improve internet speed for users using squid..    Internet bandwidth is ok . without squid   speed on same computer is fast.

Problem -2

I am getting error unrecognize service  while using   service rpcbind restart   for nfs server.

Please help me.
