NIS issue

hi.,

i am getting the error "Listening to nis server ......... failed"

i've given the domain name, nis doamin name in /etc/sysconfig/network

i've started teh protmap,ypserv,yppasswdd servcices

i've run /usr/lib/yp/ypinit -m success fuly......

still when i try to run # service ypbind start ---- i am getting the
above said error 'can't able to Listen to NIS server '

Did you do a make under /var/yp after all configurations ????

Have made an entry in authconfig?. If not try this
@ cmd prompt type authconfig
then specify your NIS domain name and your server name. i think this
will work
