I could really use some help here and it's probably a simple fix, but I can't
find it. So tia if you can help.

I have a RH box that had a SCSI (sda) drive in it. The drive is failing, so I
want to copy what I can to an IDE (hda) drive.

Here's what I have done:

I installed the IDE drive and installed RH 9 on it with the SCSI drive
unplugged.

I can boot RH on the IDE drive just fine so long as the SCSI drive is not
plugged in. But when I plug the SCSI AND the IDE drives in, RH insists in
booting from the SCSI drive, which won't complete boot because it's bad.

Is there a way to force RH 9 to boot from the IDE instead of the SCSI?

Again, tia..

Check your BIOS settings. It may be set to boot SCSI first.
If so, it's not a Red Hat issue.
