Hi,

i have somehow managed to lock myself out of RedHat 9.

i am new to using Linux as a workstation, i am used to manually starting a
GUI so i am really stumped here.

what happened:

I have been using Redhat 9 for about a month. I recently enabled support for
SMB client through the Gnome system security app. Now when i reboot and try
to logon i recieve a "Authentication Error" popup window just after i enter
my username and password to logon.... note: this is not the same error
recieved when you enter either an incorrect UN or PW, but some service that
starts just after logon obviuosly.

It is preventing me from loging on to gnome at all. There is a possiblity i
enabled or switched off something else as well. i.e NFS share was removed at
the same time.

Q: is there a way i can get into the config of gnome and turn off any
security settings for NFS and SMB made. I did want to enable Kerberos, but i
don't remember starting the config so i dont hink thats the problem.
