I have a couple of FC5 servers that were originally built
without XWindows installed, and now want to install X.

What's the smallest set of packages I can install via Yum
that will pull in all the needed dependencies and give me
a working X with Gnome?

(no KDE vs Gnome flames, please :-)

TIA

Isn't that something you would expect to find in the Xorg faq? I think that is
at xorg.org

Just let 'yum' take care of needed packages/dependencies, check
'man yum' for the groupinstall feature and how to list available
groups. Should be just a few commands and you have anything
installed.

Good luck
