Dear Sir/Madam,

The Research support office is pleased to inform that the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT)  has opened the call for Individual Doctoral and Post-doctoral Grants – 2012.

Post-Doctoral Grants - Bolsas de Pós-Doutoramento (BPD), intended for doctoral candidates, preferably those who have obtained the degree less than six years. The duration of the grant is normally annual, renewable for up to a maximum of six years, provided they obtain a favorable opinion on the interim assessment made ​​at the end of the first three years.

Doctoral Grant – Bolsa de Doutoramento (BD), intended for graduated, masters or other degree holders candidates, pursuant to paragraph 1 of Article 30 of Decree No. 74/2006 of March 24, which are accepted for a PhD in portuguese or foreign universities. The duration of the grant is normally annual, renewable for up to a maximum of four years.

The call will be open from June 6th to July 3rd 2012, 17:00 Lisbon time.
