Social Anthropology at the University of Edinburgh is advertising a vacancy for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow (Maldives) who will conduct primary research on road and infrastructure construction in the Maldives for the project "Roads and the politics of thought: Ethnographic approaches to infrastructure development in South Asia" funded by the European Research Council.
A PhD or equivalent professional qualification in Social Anthropology or cognate discipline and regional field experience are essential; relevant research experience in the politics of roads/infrastructure and competence in local language(s) are desirable.
This is a full time and fixed term post which is available from 1st September 2015 for 30 months.
Salary: £31,342 - £37,394 per annum
