"2023-2024 Theme: Accelerating Momentum for Climate-Ready Communities.

The WRI Ross Center Prize for Cities awards trailblazing projects and initiatives based on their contribution to inclusive and sustainable urban transformation in their cities.  

Eligibility Criteria:
1. All types of organizations/entities and individuals from the public, private and not-for-profit sectors are eligible to apply for the prize.
2. The applicant may be a single organization or a group of organizations and individuals with at least one organization among the group.
3. Applicants may submit one or more projects for consideration, but each must be submitted separately and must meet the eligibility requirements.
4. Initiatives and projects addressing the magnitude of challenges caused by a changing climate by accelerating the speed, scope and scale of action to create inclusive, climate-ready communities. 
5. Submissions may be for projects anywhere in the world that commenced after January 1, 2000 and that meet the other criteria for eligibility.
6. The 2023-2024 Prize accepts submissions in English. 

Projects representing a variety of sectors are encouraged to apply.
