I just wanted to check in with you to see how your first few weeks
have been going.
If I'm not mistaken, you are winding down your 3rd week and moving
into week 4.
I thought I'd share my latest reflections with you briefly with the
intention of continuing to support you as you go though the book.
The main thing that keeps coming up is the letting go of judgment to
make way for being more attuned to my authentic desires and the needs
of my body. When we live inside the conversation of what "should I" or
"shouldn't I" do, we lose access to our authentic appetites and by
extension, our ability to satisfy them. We can't know whether or not
we really want to eat or if we really need to sleep, or be touched, or
connect with a good friend, etc. By becoming aware of our judgments,
shame and guilt and then letting them go, we make room to know what we
want and only then can we actually move toward satisfying our true
hungers.
In honor of week 4, which is about deepening our experience of being
present, of observing ourselves without judgment, you will continue
experimenting and practice giving yourself the space you need so you
can choose freely and lovingly how to best feed yourself.
I love week 4 and am especially excited for you to get to week 5 too,
so keep up the great work! If you've lost steam, reach out. Let us
know how you're doing, today, now, wherever you are in the process. It
is a process, do not forget, it is a journey, and not the
destination.
Have a wonderful, satisfying and insightful day!
Blessings,
Yiska
