Does Reddot have the functionality (either built-in or via plugin) to create a dynamic events calendar so that different departments can log in and add their own special events ?

Example:
http://calendar.arcadia.edu/CalendarNOW.aspx?fromdate=4/1/2010&todate=4/30/2010&display=Month&more=1/1/0001

No. Your link here is a product by Active Data Exchange. I highly recommend them.

Dynamic and reddot are not words commonly used in the same sentance
lol. What we do for this type of functionality is we would have event
pages which publish out as the static page and also an XML version of
the page would get published, we then have an application which is
triggered by the publish ending which reads the xml files and adds the
data to a database which is then read by .net user controls to output
the calendar etc..

Tony and Chris,

Thank for the replies. I'll take a look at Active Data Exchange software. Not sure if the department currently has money to spend on it (which is always the case :)) but it might be a good enhancement in future.
