Hi,

We are in the process of testing version 10 before upgrading and have
encountered a major problem. After importing our live project and a
few other projects for testing, our navigation has disappeared. Not
only has the navigation gone, but also when I click on 'Browse
Navigation' in Smart Tree there are no options in the action menu.
Going into project settings, unticking activate naviation manager,
saving and then going back in and re-activating, brings back the
action menu options, however the navigation still does not appear on
the page preview.

I can see the navigation structure (after getting the menu back as
above) which contains all the pages we expect to see.

Looking at the source code of the page preview, the render code
appears in the code as if it has been completely ignored - e.g <%!!
Navigation:OutputArea(MainNav) !!%>

I have had this problem before when exporting and importing a language
variant, and OpenText could not figure out why.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks

Hi JoFo,

What is the flag value in RDServer.ini?

Are all pages release prior to export and import?

Do you mean export and import a project tree branch?

Hi Jian,

Thanks for your reply - sorry I didn't get back to you, in the end we
uninstalled and re-installed, added the hotfix etc from Opentext and
the problem seems to have gone. We now have some pre-execute errors
cropping up that we didn't have before the hotfix, however I don't
know the details as someone else is working on this.

Thanks

Jo

Hi Jo,

Thanks for reporting back.

It could be that you are preexecuting the navigation areas.

Now that the navigation area works, and it resumes outputing code
needed for preexecution.

However, the output code may have syntax error or something else that
cause preexecution error.

Please check
