Apologies for duplication to members of both lists.

Our group is interested in using Single Sign-On (using Shibboleth) as well as LDAP with our RedDot 10.1. The LDAP integration is moving along, but I don’t fully understand the Shibboleth integration. Open Text told me that it is merely a matter of checking that SSO selection in the Directory Service configuration. However, they also indicate that IIS and Windows Authentication are required for SSO with RedDot.

If anyone is using Shibboleth and RedDot and would be available to explain the login sequence I will appreciate some information. We don’t necessarily want to use IIS and Windows authentication, so I am curious about that requirement, as well.

Thanks for any information about using Shibboleth and RedDot.

The documented SSO is all about Windows Integrated Authentication as SSO mechanism.

There is another mechanism that can be leveraged. I'd suggest you reach out to support about Digest authentication. I know another Universtity in the midwest is working on this so perhaps someone on the EDU listserv can share experiences thus far.
