Hi,

i've been asked to make some templates for the RedDot System (now Open
Text Web Solutions Management Server 10.0)

are there any tutorials/books etc out there that can help to get into
this?

best

Hi Gerhard,

Self-taught us a hard way to acquire RedDot skills.
Best try to attend some training, or at worst see if you can buy the
training materials (from OpenText) to work through at your own pace. They
may not do that though.

HTH.

Hi Gerhard,

As Richard pointed out that there is no easy way to learn RedDot.

1. Attend 5 days training program conducted by Open text. (http://websolutions.opentext.com/training_ws_managementserver.aspx)
2. If you have considerable experience in IT, then you can go for self training. You can request Open Text for training material which consist of courseware, Manuals, Finished Projects, Lab guide and source material for working on working on projects.

Please do visit various RedDot forums which will help you learn RedDot :

Cheers

Hi Gerhand,

The biggest mistake that my team did with RedDot was trying to do by ourself. I would recommend that you do the training and hire someone to help with creation of your RedDot project and cms strategy. We only did the training and we struggled with creation of the RedDot project.

Best of luck,
Jamie
