Has anyone experienced the error; error writing file \\***.**.**.**\site\extranet\249.asp: Path/File access error

Occasionally, when our weekly scheduled publishes finish, we get the above error. It happens with all sorts of pages and results in the affected page being deleted from our live server. Luckily it's only happened to the home page a few times, but we're stumped as to why this is happening. It's totally random and inconsistent.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Do you have any backup software running, or any antivirus which might be accessing the files while the CMS is attempting a publish

Do you have this page in more than one publishing structure?

For example the same file-target (url) in different language variants. Or two parallel publishing jobs with the same Files? (for example one job is publishing all Files from one Navigation Point, and another one on another with publish "relevant" pages?

Then it can happen that this 2 publishing jobs are ristricting each other.
