The page will not appear in the Navigation if this is selected. I use
it on occasion for pages that I need to have, but don't want them to
show in the navigation.

But you have to manually publish all those pages for which u r
selecting this option (as they will not get publish with your project
structure if you will select Publish all foloowing pages also)

An alternative approach is to always include the list_navigation in
your template code, usually in comments. This ensures that all pages
connected to the list, even these hidden ones, will still publish.

Is it possible to apply "Reference parent level" to a page already
attached to a navigation list (ie to stop it appearing)
