OK, I've got a series of navigation manager pages that need to be
converted to pages where the navigation is emulated or copied from the
parent page. Leaf pages if you will.

The leaf template I'm using works just fine. I can create a leaf page
and it doesn't show in the left nav and it mirrors the parent's
navigation perfectly. The problem is when I convert from a nav page to
this leaf page using a Replace Content Class command.

All I am doing is selecting the page, choosing "replace content
class", checking to see if everything lines up and clicking ok. Once
that is done, the page is properly converted, but the navigation
leaves a big gap where the link used to be. If I check the Navigation
Manager, the page has clearly been removed from the parent's index. I
have cleared both the navigation cache and page cache. Neither
resolved this issue.

So, what's going on here?

Just as an experiment. Can you remove another leaf page from navigation. then replace the content class and see if it works better.

Nope, same issue. In fact, disconnecting ALL of the pages still leaves
this gap apparently. Not sure why that is. I've also cleared both the
page and navigation cache.
