Hi!

I just want to greet everybody first and offer a bit of comment on Redcar.

I was drawn to Redcar by the sad state of Ruby IDEs. I tried Eclipse (with Aptana and the DLTK plugin) and, despite being a long time user of Eclipse, it’s quite a mess and eGit too. RubyMine is quite bloated to my taste and it’s commercial software. So in the end we have “smart editors” that, truth be told, are not that far from Emacs or Vim, they offer very similar features in a different package. It seems to me that Redcar looks quite good and is very promising. I joined the group to be helpful and contribute to the project.
