Sunday Narrative Tournament

This Sunday (February 21) our winter narrative continues, with Order and Discord advancing their battle for planet Timauk!

This will be a narrative tournament, with players dividing into two alliances to make strategic decisions about pairings and the course of the narrative. It combines positive aspects of tournaments with story and team oriented elements. For those new to the hobby or our community, our events are relatively casual and have a great atmosphere. New players are welcome!

Rules

This is a 1500pt narrative tournament. Please note that we're experimenting with several notable updates to our basic format:

• Players may bring 2 army lists and then choose which to use after seeing their opponent's lists.  Both lists must use the same faction for the primary detachment (unbound armies do have a primary detachment, see BRB pg 117).
  
• Limited edition dataslates and formations are not permitted, e.g., those included in discontinued bundles.  This does NOT include White Dwarf publications, as these are still available via back issues.  Please contact me in advance with any questions about what is eligible.
  
• An optional Quick Reaction Force detachment is made available.
  
• Sportsmanship is now based on an explicit rubric, similar to that used in the Winter Combat Patrol.
  
• Invisibility and re-rollable 2+ saves have been amended.

In addition, after some lively discussion the past few days about arcane issues of Space Marine army construction, we've started collecting FAQ answers.  Please feel free to bring up any army construction or gameplay questions you have, and if they're common enough we'll add them to the archive after developing a community consensus.
