Warhammerers!

First notice on some upcoming 40k events at Redcap's.  We hope to see you there!

40k: Tournament of Blood
Saturday, October 1st, noon to 9:30pm
$10 per player, all to small store credit prizes

Redcap's standard tournament format: 1850 points, no restrictions, 3 rounds, individual Swiss pairings.  However, warlords will additionally compete on an individual achievements track as they vie to be crowned Champion of the Tournament of Blood.

40k: Killa Kanz Doubles Tournament
Saturday, November 12, noon to 9:30pm
$20 per team, all to small store credit prizes

A doubles tournament and a food drive for Philabundance!  Each can donated will grant the player a ticket to cash in and reroll a single die.  Change your fate and win! Tickets spent will also go into a raffle for small door prizes. Each player in a team fields their own 1000pt army as allies of convenience to their partner, further details to be posted.

40k: Winter Combat Patrol League
Late November through mid December, opponents schedule matches on their own time
$10 per player, all to small store credit prizes

Our annual small armies tournament league, the results of which also drive a simple narrative campaign. Players have a two week window in which to arrange matches with their opponent, which we encourage doing Thursday nights at Redcap's.

40k: Apocalypse Darian
Saturday & Sunday, February 11th+12th
$10 per player, all to small store credit prizes

Event details to be determined, but we will be continuing our Darian Sector story begun with this year's LibertyHammer. These will be two days of linked narrative campaigning, join us for one or both as you are able.

40k: LibertyHammer
Late June, date TBD.

Our premier two-day narrative event, continuing the story of the Darian sector. The days are linked but stand alone, enabling you to join us for one or both as you are able. One day will be 1000pt solo games and another a doubles team event. Check out last year's event at libertyhammer.com!

750pts, with a few other restrictions.  I haven't posted a new page yet, but you can use the same army building rules from last year:

Yes.  From last year's webpage---

Players must utilize the same primary faction throughout the league, but may change their army lists.

Armies must be composed to the following standards:

  • Army lists may not total more than 750 points.
  • No unique characters or models are permitted.
  • No models may have more than 3 Wounds or 4 Hull Points.
  • No models may have a 2+ Invulnerable Save or a re-rollable 2+ Armour Save.
  • No models may have total armor value (Front+Side+Rear) greater than 34.
  • No superheavy vehicles, gargantuan creatures, or mighty bulwarks.
  • Armies may optionally utilize a Combat Patrol detachment:
    • 0-1 HQ, 1-6 Troop, 0-1 Elite, 0-1 Fast Attack, 0-1 Heavy Support
    • All units in this detachment gain Objective Secured.
  • Army selection otherwise follows standard rules & Redcap's conventions.
    • Formations and multiple detachments are permitted, no special FOC is imposed.
    • Forge World models and units designated for standard 40k are permitted.

Note that "0-1" unit selections are not the same as units with the "Unique" special rule and are permitted.

Psychic powers and other temporary in-game buffs that enhance unit stats to be better than the restrictions above are permitted. Summoned units are also not subject to the army composition restrictions.

Lists may be selected after pairings are announced.

For each match, players have the option of preparing two lists. They may then choose which of their lists to use after their opponent shares their list(s).
