Updating Dictionary via API in Production Mode

Hi everyone,
I don't have admin rights in thi REDcap server. I'm trying to update my dictionary via API, but I’ve encountered an issue: in production mode, updates are restricted. I know that manually I could enter draft mode before updating the dictionary. But using API... Has anyone faced a similar situation, and if so, how did you resolve it?
Additionally, is there a way via API to switch to draft mode, update the dictionary, and then wait for admin approval if required? Any insights or best practices would be greatly appreciated.
