Piping Issue - Survey UI Tweaks

Hi everyone, 

I enabled the enhanced matrix drag and drop customization in the survey UI Tweaks and piping won't work when the module is launched. Specifically, there is a drop down menu with the options dog, spider, or snake and the selection should pipe into the drag and drop matrix (e.g., medium dog, large dog or medium, snake, large snake). The piping works before the survey is launched, but not after. Has anyone encountered this issue before and have any advice?
