Hi all
Currently we have a BETA deployment of redbox prior to 1.9 release, with changes including improvements to support the most recent RIF-CS 1.6.1 schema and ORCID identifiers.

We invite anyone/everyone from the redbox community to spend some time having a look and sending us any feedback about small improvements (perhaps the layout isn't quite right in places), bugs that may be present, etc.

The beta deployment is available on

We'll forward a sample link on ands demo site to help give a basic idea of output.

The document used to capture analysis and requirements, for these changes can be found here:

The changes include a number of form changes:
- licence support (including type)
- access rights type
- multiple description support (also available in researcher dashboard)
- multiple additional identifiers support
- support for kml poly coordinates
- configuration to optionally add record URL as a locatin
- 'free' text input for party identifiers
- ORCID identifier support for party identifiers
- fix of service record lookup so, where present, curated id used in relationships.
- increased validation to ensure minimum of all level 2 Quality levels met for RDA.

As well as:
- further enhancement to identifier curation, with configuration for identifiers which should not be curated
- functional RESTful API to enable greatly improved interoperability with other systems

We will keep this demo box open and updated for feedback over the next few weeks with plans to release it to the community shortly after (the final date TBA). We would also like to test the upgrade to ensure it is as smooth as possible before release so if there are any users that can either:
1. Spend some time with us working through the upgrade process for their installation; or
2. provide us with a copy of their installation (a zip of the ReDBox and Mint installations) will suffice
It would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards
Redbox development team.
