Hi everyone,

I've hit a problem with our Mint server. We've loaded a test file of researchers into it using CSV harvest, which went OK.

I've been deleting these records from the Mint manually, using the web interface, because they have identifiers with an internal staff number in cleartext which we don't want harvested.

The problem is that there seems to be one (or more) party records which lock up the browser when they appear in a set of search results or browsing. It's hard to tell which record it is because if any search string matches them, they aren't listed - the page just hangs.

I've replicated this in Chrome and Firefox (both on Linux). Both eventually give a "script on this page may be busy" message for this script:

Maybe a weird character in one of the party records is interfering with the js?

For the time being, I'd just like to be able to remove the offending record via another interface than the web browser.

Is there a CLI tool (as part of the Fascinator or Solr) which can be used to query and/or remove records from Mint?

Thanks,
Mike

I tracked down the source of this problem: it's caused by a bug in the Condense JQuery plugin - https://github.com/jsillitoe/jquery-condense-plugin

The bug's been fixed in the most up-to-date version of the plugin on Github, but I think the current distributions of Mint/ReDBox have the older version.

Replacing the file /portal/default/default/js/jquery.condense.min.js with an updated version fixes it.

It is probably a worthwhile time to consider an upgrade to the jquery/jqueryui versions as well.

I recently wanted to jump to the latest versions on our Mint install and had some issues with it.

Ta,
Greg

Good catch!
