Apologies for cross-posting. I'm writing to let you all know about a webinar that GAIA is co-organizing with Climate & Clean Air Coalition focused on how we can tackle methane emissions from the waste sector. It will take place on Thursday, June 9 from 17:00-18:15 CEST. 

 

GAIA recently released a report with Changing Markets Foundation and Environmental Investigation Agency detailing how methane emissions in the solid waste sector can be cut by as much as 95% by 2030 through low cost, scalable and easy to implement measures focused on waste prevention and the separation and treatment of organic waste. With increased global attention on the urgency of slashing methane emissions to avert climate chaos, this will be a timely discussion. 

 

We have a great line-up of subject matter experts and zero waste implementers from across the world, including Dr. Neil Tangri (GAIA), Sandra Mazo-Nix (CCAC), Enzo Favoino (Zero Waste Europe), Amogh Bhongale (SWaCH waste picker cooperative-India), Jack Macy (SF Environment, City and County of San Francisco).
