Hi,

I want my users to be able to set a playlist or just play a flv file but this file or playlist will be played at certain time (live) for the rest of the people listening.  So it is like simulating a live connection with a file and the people listening wont be able to fast forward, and everybody will listen to the same part(kind of like radio or tv).

The only way I think about approaching this is creating another client in the server that will play the file, maybe I can do this in java.  But this doesnt feel like an elegant solution.

Regards,

Juan Diego

Hi,

so you basically want to always have the playlist but only sometimes the actual streaming?

No,

The thing is that for streaming of audio/video files I just use pseudostreaming with amazon cloudfront.  But I want my users to set a playlist to be streamed live to all the clients, like a radio station.
