Hi,
I'm trying to find my way when it comes to red5phone
project. Maybe someone here could provide me with updated
information about its status.
I'm a bit confused about it...
The code in trunk is several years old and it looks that
development is mostly done in several (independent? unrelated?)
branches.
I succeeded running sip_r54 with red5 0.8.0, but voice quality
seems to be poor.
I wasn't able to get any version to work with red5-server 1.0 or
higher. I tried to replace classes from original sip_r54 with jar
compiled from red5_1.0_compatibility branch. The result is
application that starts in red5 1.0, connects to SIP gateway, but
when call is made or being answered, it throws
NullPointerException from RTMPRoomClient.
Could anybody tell me, please, what's the current status of that
project? Is it still in development, development is totally
stopped, or moved to another project (i.e. openmeetings)?
Which version/branch/tag combination of red5 server and red5phone
would you recommend as the most stable and offering best
quality? I would like to achieve a functionality of simple, voice
only web soft phone without teleconferencing.
Is there any dedicated group or mailing list for red5phone, that
would be better place to ask such questions?
