Hey guys,

My friend has a light wand used for slot machines...it looks pretty simple...but i'm not to electrically engineering inclined, lol
It does however look pretty simple...just wondering if anyone wants to see if they can help build one, using this one as a template?

What's it do?  Are you trying to make a copy, or fix it?

Evidently some slot machines use an optical sensor to determine how many coins have been paid out. A light wand can be used to effectively blind the sensor so the machine continues dispensing coins.

It would be an extremely simple device to build, but you won't be getting any help from me.

Looks like an LED on a stick.  Simple enough.  The pictures you have aren't good enough to see what the components used are, but I image it is a white LED with battery and a switch.  There would be a couple of tricks with this kind of device, like placement, size, weight, and being illegal.

I can't help you build one, but I can tell you that an LED flashlight is a very simple circuit.  Use a low power LED, possibly a surface mount size.  Make sure you have a resistor between the power and the LED, keep the device as simple as possible.

That's as much help as I am comfortable giving, good luck.
